Mental health disorder is a condition that affects a person’s behavior, feeling, thinking. It can affect your daily happy and healthy life.
The term psychological disorder is sometimes frequently known as mental disorders or psychiatric disorders. This disorder affects multiple areas of life. Mental health can be influenced by a variety of factors, including life events or ever your genetics.
The person experiencing these symptoms when ongoing signs and symptoms cause frequent stress and affect your ability to function. Sometimes symptoms include physical problems such as stomach pain, back pain, headaches, or other unexplained aches and pains.

If you have any signs and symptoms of mental illness, go to your mental health professional. Most of the time mental illness doesn’t improve on their own, and if untreated the situation may get worse over time and cause serious problems.
Treatment depends on the severeness of your mental disorder. Your Mental health professional work on your treatment plan just for you. You have to take Medicines, But sometimes social support, some people’s need is very important in managing the condition.
Because during mental illness, people have a feeling of loneliness, fear so family and social importance is very important because sometimes only medicine is not sufficient to treat mental illness. In some cases, you may need more intensive care. Because you could be at the risk of hurting yourself or someone else. You will get counseling with mental health professionals and sometimes with other patients.
According to the National Institute of Mental Health, women are more experiencing severe mental illness than men. Especially those who are between the ages of 18 to 25.

These disorders diagnosed during infancy, childhood, or adolescence. These disorders include
- Intellectual Disability
It is also called mental retardedness. It is related to the average intelligence of slow ability to learn new skills a person is considered intellectually disabled if he or she has an IQ ( Intelligent Quotient) less than 70 to 75. This type of disorder originates at the age of 18. It is characterized by adaptive behavior like involvement in practical, everyday skills such as self-care and social interactions.
- Global Development Delay
This disability diagnosis in children under the age of five. These type of delays relates to cognition, social functioning, speech-language, and motor skills. It is a temporary diagnosis applied to kids that may be diagnosed when they able to take a standardized intelligence test.
- Communication Disorder
These disorders impact the ability to use, understand, or detect language and speech. Types of disorders such as speed disorder, language disorder, fluency disorder (Stuttering), and social ( pragmatic ) communication disorder.
2.Bipolar Related Disorder
It mainly affects your mood shifts in moods as well as changes in activity and energy levels. It is a chronic mental illness that affects 2.6% of Americans each year.
Mood swings caused by bipolar disorder are more severe than the ups and downs most people experience on a daily basis.
The elevated mood can be referred to as mania or hypomania.
Mania
It is characterized by a period of elevated, expansive, irritable mood with increased activity and energy. Mania marked by feelings of distraction, irritability, and excessive confidence.
People engage in activities such as gambling and shopping sprees.
Depressive Episodes
It is characterized by feelings of depressed or sad mood along with a lack of interest in activities. It is a low mood that lasts for a long time, It makes harder everything you want to do in your normal life.
It first starts as sadness then feeling of shutting down everything, feeling less capable of coping, and eventually came feeling of numbness and emptiness.
It can be life-threatening because people even feel thoughts of suicide. Both disorders can be frightening for the person experiencing symptoms.
Fortunately, appropriate and effective treatment helps people with bipolar disorder successfully.
3.Anxiety Disorder
It makes a person become extremely worried, fearful, tense, or afraid about things about to happen or could happen in the future.
Types of an anxiety disorder include:
- GAD ( Generalised Anxiety Disorder)
Excessive worried about many things, where there is no reason to worry. Even sometimes the situation is a common part of life. They feel very nervous about everything they do.
- Agoraphobia
It is characterized by the fear of a wide range of public places, these types of people avoid a situation that might trigger an anxiety attack. Where escape might be difficult
- Social Anxiety Disorder
Irrational fear of being watched or judged.
- Specific Phobias
Maximal fear of a specific object or situation in the environment. Main types of specific phobias are :
- Natural events ( thunder, lightning, tornadoes)
- Animals ( dogs, snakes, bugs)
- Situational ( small spaces, leaving home, driving)
- Fear of heights etc
- Panic disorder
Because of this disorder, people often experience anxiety and preoccupation over the possibility of having another panic attack.
- Separation Anxiety disorder
Fear or anxiety related to being segregate from attachment figures.
4.Stress-Related Disorder
Trauma and stressor-related disorders involve exposure to stressful or traumatic event.
Disorders included in this category include :
- Acute Stress Disorder
Severe anxiety after exposure to a traumatic event such s natural disasters, wars, accidents, and witnessing a death. People may experience such as a sense of altered reality, inability to remember.
- Adjustment Disorder
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
